As a new development in an evolving precinct the proposed design for Lot 4 Riversdale Road has been conceived in the context of the surrounding built form and the design objectives of the planning framework for the development of high quality apartments. The proposed development seeks to take advantage of the natural features of the river front location and enhance the burgeoning character of the Springs Rivervale by adding another layer of vitality and helping to establish a safe, mixed-use area and contributing to achieving the City’s and LandCorp’s vision for the Springs Rivervale.
The proposed development comprises 22 dwellings with associated communal facilities and a 60m² Commercial unit in a 6-storey mixed-use development with a basement car park and roof terraces to the upper level apartments. The building sits on a raised plinth, which not only provides a pedestal for the building to sit on, but also ensures greater security to ground floor dwellings, providing a clear definition between public and private space.
