Howard Park Winery

Howard Park Winery is a state-of-the-art winery based in the Cowaramup district near Margaret River.

This 1500 tonne capacity winery has been designed with wine excellence as the primary concern and wine tasting and administration almost secondary considerations.

The clients, Jeff and Amy Burch, enthusiastically accepted the notion that the building should have a modern expression and must be allowed to grow old rather than be built old. This is entirely consistent with the idea of wine vintage.

Furthermore, the scale of its operations demands that Howard Park is unequivocally a factory for making fine wines and that the factory aesthetic should be celebrated rather than disguised.

To this end, all functions, wine tasting, boardroom and administration, barrel storage and wine production had to be fitted within one simple form.
